Archery is one of those activities everyone say’s “I’d like a go at that!” And now you can, courtesy of The Adventure Team!
Archery is one of the oldest sports in the world, often used for hunting and warfare; and is now a recognised Olympic sport. Thankfully, with The Adventure Team you will be using it on a competitive sporting level!
It requires a steady hand and keen eye, but mostly it requires a sense of humour and a willingness to give it a go. We have a range of bows for the little kids and for the big kid amongst us; and a team of enthusiastic instructors to keep you on target!

Where can I try Archery?
Archery can take place anywhere with space – we usually use our indoor sports hall, in case of unpredictable weather! It’s a popular activity for party’s young and old and you could even have it in your own garden (provided it is a decent size of course)! The Adventure Team can therefore bring the day to you, if needs be.
What age do I have to be to try Archery?
The Adventure Team can accommodate Robin Hood wannabes aged 3 and older. That includes the big kids! For younger kids we can help them pull the bows back.
How long does an Archery session last?
A standard session of going for the “bullseye” with The Adventure Team lasts 1.5 hours
What equipment do I need to try Archery?
The Adventure Team provide all specialist equipment; all that you need is a long sleeved top, some steady hands and a firm eye on the target!
Will I be safe trying Archery?
The Adventure Team have over 15 years experience in the delivery of Archery. All of The Adventure Team instructors are trained and assessed in accordance with our Activity Guidelines detailed in our comprehensive Risk Assessment Policy as well as those of the Grand National Archery Society. Our instructors are all qualified First Aiders and meet all of our Child Protection checks including ACCESS NI. We also hold a £5 million insurance policy.

How much does it cost to try Archery with The Adventure Team?
Archery with The Adventure Team costs £15 per person and we have a special youth rate of £10 per person (based on a minimum of 10 participants. Discounts are available on open sessions, family days and members of The Adventure Club!
